Expect the unexpected from Welcome Home, Alan Doyle’s fourth full-length solo studio album and 20th overall. While upholding his status as a perennial merrymaker — a reputation burnished by his years with acclaimed folk-pop combo Great Big Sea — the new album also finds the multifaceted singer song writer and 14-time JUNO Award nominee exploring novel sonic terrain. Alongside marquee co-writers Jimmy Rankin, Donovan Woods, and Hollywood actor Oscar Isaac (yep, of Star Wars fame), Doyle presents nine original songs that are both typically buoyant and surprisingly intimate, what Doyle refers to as “the lower and slower: the lower part of my vocal range and the slower songs. I’m letting myself do that for the first time on this record,” which he cut in Montreal with producer-engineer Marcus Paquin. Doyle’s CV is extensive — he is a thrice-published author, a film and TV actor-producer with multiple major credits, and the co-producer of the recently released, 20-song Ron Hynes tribute album, Sonny Don’t Go Away. Yet the wildly popular musician from Petty Harbour, Newfoundland remains most electrifying before a live audience, abetted by his ace band. “I am the luckiest guy in the world,” Doyle says. “It’s such a privilege to stand among those players on stage.
Le Diable à Cinq is a powerful traditional music group made up of five multi-instrumentalists and singers from the province of Quebec, Canada, whose mission is to revive the festive evenings they grew up with. Le Diable à Cinq is also a family story, with three brothers, a cousin and a friend sharing the stage with remarkable complicity. With their explosive stage presence, the five devils ignite the night with energetic, warm and truly unifying music. Since their formation in 2015, the group has played more than 200 concerts and has been recognised on the national scene with multiple nominations at the JUNO Awards, the Canadian Folk Music Awards, and l’ADISQ (Quebec’s JUNO). Le Diable à Cinq has released three albums, latest being “Tempête” in 2023.
Toronto pagan-punk-poet Nyssa has put her hands into the lion’s mouth, gathering her performing and songwriting powers to conjure the unruly energy of rock n’ roll. Out from under fear’s thumb, Nyssa now sings about wild things, old gods, romance-beyond-borders, and the exorcism of trauma. She has quested, and she has returned. With the stage as her altar, the goal is fevered connection, a ritual-sense of music as communal release. Nyssa keens and wails and brings her audience along with her to a place of deep feeling, movement, and joy. Lyrics are poetic and clear, lunar, eerie, angry; Nyssa’s voice is the strong container for all of it. As Dionysus would want it, over-abundance is the way. Guided by the incantation and invocation of the three C’s: Collaboration, Choreo, Covenhood!, Nyssa’s sound and stories run deep into ancient mythos, Celtic lore and back through our modern idols. Re-swaggering, re-wilding hyper-masc night moves and magick hips (think Jagger, Mink Deville, Danzig), Nyssa’s magnetic, elastic ways make satyrs of us all. Long-listed for the 2021 Polaris prize for her debut solo album Girls Like Me, NYSSA’s sophomore album, Shake Me Where I’m Foolish, was released on Six Shooter Records on February 1, 2024
Maten, formed by Samuel Pinette, Mathieu Mckenzie and Kim Fontaine, is an Innu group originating from Mani-utenam located on the northern coast of Quebec, anchored between the shore of the Saint-Laurent and the boreal forest.
Respected by his peers and recognized by the public for many years (nominated for the 2019 Adisq Gala), Maten offers a fourth album with assumed alternative and festive folk-rock sounds. One of the dominant characteristics of Maten is also the commitment in their lyrics to their community, their language and their Innu roots. The texts convey their values and their culture, pride in their identity, the message is strong and direct, directed towards the future but also very realistic and deals with the difficulties that the communities still have to face

Born out of Elliot & Michelle’s 6 years of travelling the world, going from peak to peak, seeking out the best adventures, always being inspired by the food and people we bumped into along the way…and then eventually one particularly crappy job!
Paired with the serendipity of there being a burger van parked outside our newly bought house, all of that combined inspired us to have a shot at something that we really loved, starting our own food van business!
That’s where UNE comes into the picture…
We’ve transformed Une from a dusty workhorse of a builder’s van, into Summit we think is really special, allowing us to live our dream of running our own food business.
Hi! We’re Matt and Ross, two vegans craving an old fashioned hog roast. Unable to take down another bean burger, we decided to take matters into our own hands.
Together with our award-winning chef and our great team, we’ve come up with the UK’s first hog roast roll that even Piglet and Babe would approve of.
You can find us serving up our vegan BBQ at our East London kitchen and at markets, festivals, vegan wedding catering and private events across the country.
Dessert Ballers was first born under a different name, ‘The Chocolate Kebab Company’ in January 2017. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what we started selling! But would you believe it, our main product was our Chocolate Kebabs. Made by taking a Fresh Pitta (crêpe), tasty toppings, mounds of cream and our delicious chocolate shavings carved live off our rotating Chocolate Kebab! (no meat just chocolatey goodness).
After taking our Chocolate Kebabs to various Events, Street Food Festivals, Christmas Markets, Shopping Centres and Private Functions all over the UK, and after gaining a massive following and a ton of amazing press both on and offline, we started to play around we new ideas and new ways to create delicious tasting desserts and chocolates, such as our Waffle Balls. Because of the success of our new products we found it would be best to to rebrand to allow us to expand our range of Delicious, Tasty & Fresh Desserts, and so Dessert Ballers was born.
